How do I submit a claim?

Check the Surge Protection Terms and Conditions to see if your claim will be covered.

Submit a claim by filling out the Surge Protection Claims Form and emailing it to SurgeClaims@DirectEnergy.com

If your claim is covered, you will receive up to $500 for your damaged appliances or electronics, and up to $2,000 in annual coverage.3

Each eligible claim has a limit of up to $500.³

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your Surge Protection Plan at any time by logging into your Online Account.

3Our Surge Protection Plan is available for $6.99/month for $1,000 CAD annual coverage or $9.99/month for $2,000 CAD annual coverage. This plan protects personal electronics and appliances from electrical surges. Coverage is available to both existing and new customers enrolled in Dual Fuel, Electric only, or Natural Gas only plans.
